You can request a copy of your DD214 (and, I think, other records) through the link below.

How can I tell if there was a previous home on some property?

Question by ftwhite03: How can I tell if there was a previous home on some property?
I’m doing a bit of research on my grandmothers property to learn a little bit more about the history of it. I know that her home was built in the early 1900′s, but there is a foundation of another home that was also built on the same property before the current one. Is there a website where I can look up old property records to find out what year that building was built in? (Its in Columbia County Florida by the way)

The Deed Room in your county court house may help but their records may not go back that far. Hopefully you have a local Historical Society. They should have a wealth of information. Sometimes neighbors can be a huge help, too.
